Pavel (Paul) Křížkovský, the composer of the three male choirs presented here, is considered one of the pioneers of national choral music in the Czech Republic. His men's choral works in particular have remained popular to this day. In contrast, Křížkovský's music has remained largely unknown to Western music lovers. In addition to the original text, this edition also includes a phonetic transcription. This makes it easier for singers and choirs to sing and interpret the pieces all over the world, regardless of language barriers.
